Climate change can be seen as a cultural issue, in that we need to deeply change our values and behaviour to coexist with our land, rivers and the ocean, rather than changing the climate itself. Indigenous peoples have developed cultural and artistic traditions that are unique to Aotearoa and the Pacific region that provide opportunities for understanding and protecting our natural world and living together. Join renowned artists and scientists in a discussion about how cultural knowledge, artistic expression and stories are inextricably linked to the world in which we live and how a deeper understanding of these inter-connections can help us to shape a better future.
This talk is part of The Civic Club programme, a very special collection of events which sees the audience seated on stage at The Civic.
