Through the Eye of the Lens
In collaboration with Tāmaki Paenga Hira | Auckland War Memorial Museum, 9 February – 8 April 2024
An exhibition showcasing more than 150 images and climate stories, captured by rangatahi and professional photographers sharing their unique perspectives on the effects of the climate crisis on their natural world (taiao) and the challenges their communities will encounter.
Presented in partnership with Tāmaki Paenga Hira | Auckland War Memorial Museum, the exhibition is the culmination of a series of regional projects led by Track Zero in 6 locations around Aotearoa New Zealand, delivered through 11 workshops involving 146 young people aged 10 to 17 years. In each region Track Zero teamed up with the major arts festival to work with local schools. Their powerful photos were shown in a print exhibition, viewed by hundreds of festival goers and the general public, and an online exhibition that can be viewed here on Track Zero’s website.
